DIRECT AND INDIRECT ADHESIVE BRIDGES: INDICATIONS, PROCEDURES, LONGEVITY
Progress in material science and adhesive technologies allowed us to approach the classical prosthodontic work in a less invasive way. In this lecture, indication of direct and indirect adhesive bridge options will be elaborated considering both biological, mechanical aspects and clinical survival data.

FTR is a prosthetic concept both functional and esthetic that aims to integrate in the stomatognathic system the artificial volumes represented by veneers, crowns and bridges on the natural teeth or on the implants. The concept is designed to preserve the balance of the mandibular dynamics and to reproduce the 6 functions of speaking, breathing, swallowing, chewing, stress management and esthetics.
The FTR concept is based on the condilography and the transfer of all the resulted data from the dental clinic to the dental laboratory.
Why the condilography?
After mounting the models in the articulator with the support of the facial bow, and after programming the articulator, the dental technician will be guided by the mandibular dynamics reproduced on the articulator, which results in correctly establishing the exact position of the artificial volumes represented by veneers, crowns or bridges.
FTR is comprised of the treatment plan from the dental clinic and the tratment plan from the dental laboratory.
There are 2 treatment plans because the strategy, vision and predictibility of the prosthetics treatment plan from the dental clinic is continued indirectly in the dental laboratory where the prosthetic work is realized. If the dental laboratory does not receive all the data to correctly program the articulator and to correctly execute the transfer of the jaws position with the facial bow or with the condilograph, then the resulted prosthetic work will be going through a random realization, without guaranteeing the functionality required in the mouth of the patient.
Dr. Andi Dragus
Implantologist, Dentoalveolar Surgeon, Specialized on Dental Esthetics with High Emphasis on Functionality Determined by the TMJ Diagnosis with the Condilography.
My Concepts: Functional Tooth Redesign, Condilographiated Veneers, Horizontal Preparation Protocol, Digital Functional Implantology. I started my career in stomatology in 1995 as a dental technician. In 2005 I founded Clinica Dr. Dragus Dental Clinic where I develop my medical activity together with my team.
At present I am Ph.D. student at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy CAROL DAVILA with Prof. Mihai Augustin “Occlusal articular and neuromuscular rehabilitation methods in implant-prosthetic oral rehabilitation”.
My notion of dentistry is a complex and interdisciplinary one. I want my patients to understand how important oral cavity is, that is just one part of the masticatory apparatus (stomatognathic system) and to realize how important each tooth of the dental arches is. It is very important to emphasize all functions of the masticatory apparatus (breathing, mastication, deglutition, phonation, aesthetics, stress management) by the treatments realized by myself and I do not relate primordially to aesthetics and only that. Dental aesthetics is very important in the 21st century, but it may not replace the TMJ functionality (temporomandibular joints) as importance. Please do not understand that I do not work at a very high esthetic level or that I am against dental aesthetics. I want my patients to understand that maxillary and mandible bones are those that influence their aesthetics firstly and then there are the teeth and the various prosthetic works I make (prep or no- prep veneers, dental crowns).
In 2016 I invented the Horizontal Preparation Protocol (HPP), which is a minim-invasive functional protocol, that is predictible and can be easily reproduced and it aims to realize the preparation for veneers and crowns. In 2018 I have designed an interdisciplinary concept both functional and esthetic for cosmetic dentistry, named Condilographiated Veneers. The concept starts from the mandibular dynamic and the masticatory reflex and integrates esthetics with craniomandibular functionality.
Starting with 2001, I have been lecturer for international companies such as: Komet, 3P Implants, GC Europe, Straumann Switzerland, Alpha Bio Israel, Zubler Germany, Dr Eyes Germany, Adin Israel, 3M USA, Kavo Germany, College of Dental Technicians of Romania.

CLINICAL DETAILS FOR IMMEDIATE IMPLANT PLACEMENT AND IMMEDIATE LOADING: PROSTHETIC PERSPECTIVE
Dental implants have been used successfully for many years in the treatment of tooth loss in dentistry. In order to affect the duration of treatment, dental implants can be performed immediately following the extraction of the teeth, and in some cases, they can be placed following the recovery after the extraction of the teeth. The implant supported prostheses is examined in 4 groups in terms of treatment period. These; immediate loading protocol, early loading protocol, conventional loading protocol and delayed loading protocol.
The increasing quality of life of the society and the easier access of people to the information require single-stage surgeries in dental implantology and minimizing the time between implant surgery and prosthetic treatment.
In this presentation, details of the immeadiate implant placement protocol and the immediate loading protocol will be discussed with cases in dental implantology.

The posterior maxilla has always been a high-risk area for rehabilitation with implant-supported fixed prostheses due to atrophic alveolar ridges and/or a highly pneumatized maxillary sinus, conditions that imply a limited amount of residual bone.
Many different techniques and graft materials are used to lift the floor of the sinus, which is a frequently used method to apply dental implants in the atrophic posterior maxilla. If the residual bone height of the maxilla is less than 3 mm primary stability cannot be obtained, SFE procedures require a two-stage surgical protocol. The bone ring allows for simultaneous dental implant placement and sinus lifting in the extremely atrophic maxilla.
In this presentation, the difficulties, subtleties and issues to be considered during the use of allogen or autogenous bone rings in sinus augmentation will be shared with scientific evidence accompanied by cases.

LIVES THAT DENTISTS BEAUTIFY: TWO MULTIDISCIPLINARY TREATED CASES
The patient expects us to offer a magical treatment that will benefit both aesthetically, biologically and functionally from the moment he takes his first step through the door. So, do we have such a magic wand in our hands? Given the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary working power of Contemporary Dentistry both in itself and with other medical branches, the answer to this question can be given as “Yes” with the correct indications. This presentation includes two cases with major and minor orthognathic surgery and multidisciplinary dental treatment.
